Does ECCL facilitate the exporting of finished products?
We are committed to getting quality locally made craft products into regional and international markets. Our e-commerce platform Craft Hub TT National Online Wholesale Craft Store provides opportunities for the export or quality made local craft.
How can I graduate as a certified artisan?
ECCL offers courses at three levels: Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced. A trainee must complete all three levels to qualify for certification upon graduation.
Are tutors only available during the course offering period?
Yes. Tutors are available only during the training period.
Do trainees have access to ECCL’s facilities?
Yes. During the course offering period, trainees have access to ECCL facilities. We also offer facilities to advanced artisans for use of craft making via our Business Incubator Programme.
Can I register ad attend courses outside of my living jurisdiction?
Yes. ECCL offers courses to all citizens across Trinidad and Tobago regardless of their location.
Are there evening or weekend classes?
Not regularly, but special arrangements can be made through the Training and Development Department for extenuating circumstances.
Does ECCL provide course materials?
No. Trainees are required to supply their own raw materials for craft courses.
Are the courses face-to-face or online?
Some courses are blended/hybrid but most of our course offerings are face-to-face. When registering for courses, be sure to check the flyer containing the list of offered courses to determine which ones are offered online versus in-person.
How many contact hours per week does a course usually have?
Courses are usually 3-6 contact hours per week.
Is there any training course on branding and pricing of products?
Yes. ECCL offers courses on branding and pricing.
What is the usual duration of an ECCL course?
The duration of our courses varies according to the type of course offered.
Assured Certificate Programme courses are approximately 6 months long, while workshops can be from 4-6 weeks or 1-3 days long.
Are there a fixed training cycles?
Yes. The training cycle starts in October and ends in June.
How do I register for ECCL’s craft training programme?
Registration is done online through ECCL’s Facebook page or website.
Can I register for a course in a centre that is outside my living jurisdiction?
Yes. You can register at any ECCL’s training centre, regardless of where you live.
Do I need to pay for ECCL’s craft training programmes?
Yes. There is an administrative fee of $150 TT for each course level. Additionally, the ECCL’s City & Guild’s assured certification fee is $600 TT. Note that the fee is subject to change
Are there any requirements for participating in ECCL’s Assured Training Programme?
Yes. You must complete the Introductory and Intermediate levels before moving on to the Advanced level.
Do I need to be a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago to apply for ECCL’s Craft Training programmes?
Yes.
Are there any age restrictions for applying to ECCL’s Craft Training Programme?
Yes. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
What is an ECCL Assured Certificate?
The Assured Certificate Programme offers International Certification in a craft discipline. International Certification is only awarded to candidates who complete all three levels of training.

What is Craft HubTT?
Craft Hub TT is a branded trademarked name under Export Centres Company Limited, which mainly represents our Pop-up Markets, our National Online Wholesale Craft Store and our E-store.
What is Export Centres Company Limited?
ECCL is a state agency under the Ministry of Sport and Community Development, mandated to develop the craft sector of Trinidad and Tobago.
